Desk Focused Python QD within Systematic FI QR Team
Seeking quantitative developers with ~3-5 years of experience in a systematic trading environment to work closely with a newly established group of systematic fixed income researchers. The team sits within the London branch of a smaller, computer-driven business, founded in the mid 2010's. The fund's success is attributable to its innovation based ethos- operating with a unique cultural blend of collaboration and scientific thinking as driving forces behind investment strategy. The role is desk focused and encompasses full exposure to and interaction with all front office seats.
The role:
* Full ownership of research infrastructure: building, implementing and optimising robust tools for use by QRs, as well as custom function libraries.
* Guiding "best practice" amongst the researchers to inform trade strategy.
* Close collaboration with senior PMs and some of the best QRs within their domain to inform approach towards technically complex challenges.
* Liaising with engineers across the firm to ensure that existing tools are leveraged and centralised.
* Working with lesser-seen data-sets to build out quantitative models.
Requirements:
* Python expertise, minimum 2+ years working predominantly with Python. Additional proficiency in C++ highly desirable.
* 2-5+ years as a QD or SWE within a front office, systematic group. QIS team members from investment banks also desired. Tech and AI start-up experience is also of interest.
* Relationship with quant research- evidence of projects whereby your work demanded a deep understanding of research projects.
* Excellent academic credentials- computer science degree or closely linked subjects from a world top 100 University.
* System architecture experience
* Relational database experience
About:
* Structure: 2-3 days in office
* Compensation: Compensation comprising of base, sign-on bonus (after meeting probation) and a 1st year minimum guaranteed bonus. Additional performance bonus.
