Veetee is an ambient foods and rice company, a major supplier to retailers, wholesalers, and other food manufacturing businesses. We have two factories and three warehouses in Rochester, Kent, one manufacturing site in India and a Sales & Distribution team in the USA.
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a passionate Finance Business Partner who will "challenge & own" by being an active member of the business team's, influencing decision making by driving performance management discussions, and taking ownership and responsibility for decisions.
Responsibilities:
* Primary responsibility for finance business partnering with Commercial stakeholders.
* Gaining and maintaining a deep understanding of strategic aims and the Operations to ensure provision of best in class finance support.
* Leading monthly financial reviews with stakeholders and providing decision making support to the Finance Manager.
* Partner with the Finance Manager to facilitate managing and achieving the financial targets and objectives.
* Leading the finalisation of budget process to be in line with financial strategic direction of the Company.
* Coordinate with relevant members to initiate changes to existing financial flows, document the same & incorporate the same with intent to ensure standardisation across the group.
* Providing analytical support & insight on Operations Performance to both Operations & Finance.
* Using excellent organisational and planning capabilities to ensure internal & external deadlines are adhered to.
* Establish effective internal controls within the business and deliver an adequate overall level of internal control.
* Coordinate the statutory accounting submissions and Board papers.
* Manage and comply with UK government reporting requirements and tax filing.
* Any other reasonable duties associated with the role or projects assigned to meet the overall objectives of the role.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar role and working in a FMCG or Food company would be advantageous.
* ACA, ACCA and/or CIMA qualified is beneficial.
* A degree of equivalent within a Finance related subject would be desirable.
* Excellent overall IT experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Previous experience working with ERP systems e.g. MS Dynamics or SAP.
* Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organisation.
* Strong financial modelling knowledge.
* Can work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Good multitasking and organisational skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work efficiently to tight deadlines.
* Willing to learn and develop.
* Ability to keep calm under pressure.
