Job Title: Key Account Manager - Kitchen & Bedroom Door Manufacturers
Industry Sector: Interior surfaces, furniture foils, thermoplastic foils, polymers, plastic films, laminated board, laminated profiles, furniture doors, 3D, 2D foils, PP, PET, PVC membranes, veneers, woodgrain, laminates, MDF doors, kitchen cabinets, bedroom furniture, KBB, living room furniture and door manufacturers
Area to be covered: National - ideally based Midlands to M62
Remuneration: £50,000-£60,000 + Up to 10% Bonus

The role will involve:
1. Field sales position, selling our clients manufactured range of interior surfaces including veneers and plastic films to finish furniture (PVC membranes, woodgrain, adding foil to boards for furniture manufacture).
2. Selling 200m-500m rolls to companies who manufacture membrane pressed doors for kitchen and bedroom furniture.
3. Responsible for circa £5m-£10m.
4. Majority of your time account managing 30-40 accounts (approx 50% of which will turnover £100,000+).
5. Assisting our client to break into new markets such as shop fitting, student accommodation, supermarkets etc.
6. Typical customers include large furniture manufacturers such as Hammonds, Summerbridge, BA components, Wren Kitchens, Sharps Bedrooms etc.
7. Managing pricing, trading plans and handling customer complaints.
The ideal applicant will have:
1. Minimum of 2-3 years B2B field sales experience targeting manufacturing.
2. Sold raw materials to manufacturers to create a finished product.
3. Proven track record of managing and growing large/key accounts.
4. Understanding of current manufacturing processes.
5. Experience in a similar or related industry would be an advantage.
6. Experience selling into furniture manufacturers, but open to all backgrounds from within manufacturing.
7. Experience selling interior design/aesthetically pleasing products such as shop fittings, kitchen, bedroom or living room furniture.
8. Interest in design may be beneficial.
9. Contacts within bedroom, bathroom or kitchen (KBB) manufacturers is not essential but may be useful.
10. Degree educated and able to develop a good “feel” for wood grain designs and colours appropriate to the furniture market.
11. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
12. Strong communication skills and IT literate.
13. Experience of working with shop-fitting, retail, healthcare/education sectors would be advantageous.
