We’re looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team in Spalding, Lincolnshire.
This is day shift 7am-7pm, working a continental shift pattern.
Westfalia Fruit UK are seeking motivated and results-oriented Team Leaders to join our expanding team in our brand new facility. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the success of our fresh produce operations. You'll be responsible for leading and motivating a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfilment, maintaining optimal stock levels, and implementing strict quality control procedures to deliver the highest quality produce to our customers.
Responsibilities include:
1. Leading and motivating a team of warehouse operatives, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
2. Ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfilment, overseeing picking, packing, and dispatching of fresh produce.
3. Maintaining optimal stock levels through collaboration with other departments and implementing effective stock rotation strategies.
4. Implementing and enforcing strict quality control procedures throughout the warehousing process.
5. Training and supervising your team on proper fresh produce handling techniques to optimise freshness and quality.
6. Upholding high health, safety, and hygiene standards within the warehouse.
Requirements:
1. Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role.
2. Proven experience in leading and motivating a team.
3. Excellent communication and delegation skills.
4. Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Strong analytical and organisational skills.
6. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
7. Knowledge of the fresh produce industry.
8. Experience using warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts).
