The Catering Manager is accountable for overseeing all aspects of catering services for Rutland Sailing Club. This includes regular chef duties, planning, coordination, execution, and post-event evaluations. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Event Planning and Coordination:
o Collaborate with visiting organisers to determine their catering needs and preferences.
o Develop menu options, pricing, and logistics.
o Coordinate with RSC staff, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution.
* Menu Development:
o To create and update menus based on the needs of the Clubs customer base.
o Ensure menu items meet dietary restrictions and accommodate special requests.
* Team Leadership:
o Train, and supervise catering staff, ensuring adherence to service standards.
o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and support.
o Ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained where needed.
* Customer Service:
o Act as one of the main points of contact for clients and members before, during, and after events.
o Address any issues or concerns promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
* Logistics and Operations:
o Take on regular chef duties.
o Take on regular bar duties
o Ensure both catering and bar stock levels are kept to a suitable level with minimal wastage.
o Oversee the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in place.
o Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and service.
* Marketing and Business Development:
o To promote catering services through social media, and website.
o To develop and implement social events for the Club membership.
