Our client is a successful and well-established leading manufacturer, with a high-quality, diverse product portfolio, operating globally in many countries. They are looking to employ several Installation & Cleaning Operatives to join their team.
IMPORTANT NOTE, PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING:
1. This role involves the daily moving and handling of heavy items (mattresses / furniture). Some items can also be awkward to lift or move. You need to be comfortable with the ability to bend, lift, and carry.
2. The mattresses are of various weights, some in excess of 20kg minimum, and depending on contracts, the role can involve the moving and handling of at least 15 mattresses a day (therefore 30 lifts).
3. Many of the products returned for cleaning are heavily soiled with bodily fluids.
4. The job will also involve the cleaning of said mattresses and beds at the Service Centre (suitable PPE will be provided).

3. Experience in a similar role, or a hands-on job, where heavy lifting is common.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. The highest standards in personal appearance and hygiene.
6. Full UK driving license and have your own transport.
Main Activities/Responsibilities:
1. Working with the Service Centre Manager to deliver, install, and collect hospital and care home mattresses and other related products.
2. Load vans, deliver products, install, collect, and exchange equipment as required.
3. Maintain company vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and ensure its correct mechanical upkeep and servicing.
4. Cleaning a wide range of products returned to the service centre, including hospital beds, dynamic/static mattresses, and spare parts from medical equipment.
5. Ensure the correct use of cleaning materials, e.g. chemicals, cleaning procedures, and cleaning equipment, and spill kit when performing duties to comply with the Infection Control Policies, ensuring waste/clinical waste is disposed of correctly in line with Company Infection Control Policy.
6. Ensure the correct use/wearing of PPE always, including waterproof footwear when performing cleaning duties.
7. Accurately record all movements of equipment by completing the necessary paperwork.
8. Assist with the induction and in-house training of new and existing staff.
9. Any other duties as required by management.

Salary is circa £24,000 a year.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm.
