Based in Marks Tey, Colchester, we are looking for an experienced Head of Business Development & Account Management, reporting to the CEO, to join the team. This is an exciting role to help shape the future of LifeSaver by getting involved as the business advances on a growth strategy. The ideal candidate will be a team player as well as being self-motivated to strive for improvement across the business. They will be highly organised and capable of managing a dynamic workload whilst relishing working with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Duties
1. Manage the existing global Distributor network covering N America, Japan, and Europe – strategy development, reviews, and general support
2. Develop new direct business with global humanitarian bodies including NGO’s, Foundations, UN, and others
3. Develop new direct B2B opportunities for ‘bricks & mortar’ retail sales and distribution in the UK and other regions
4. Develop a strategy to access the ‘emergency preparedness’ market
5. Respond to regular in-bound business enquiries
6. Monitor and respond to complex RFI’s, RFQ’s, and other tender opportunities
7. Manage our CRM platform
8. Work closely with the Head of Marketing to develop imaginative lead generation campaigns
9. Work closely with the Head of Marketing to support the global e-com strategy
Skills and Experiences
1. A good understanding and experience of global account and channel management
2. Ideally experience of NGO’s, UKAid, UN, USAid, etc.
3. Experience of responding to complex RFP’s
4. A good understanding of the role of global e-com, particularly Amazon and Shopify
5. An experienced, strategic, and creative new business developer
6. Solid global experience
7. Flexibility to work to global timezones
8. Financially numerate
9. Experience of HubSpot or similar CRM platform
10. Ability to work as part of a small management team to drive the business forward
11. Ability to quickly understand and demonstrate technical products
12. Excellent interpersonal and written skills
13. Tenacious, persistent, and hardworking
14. Team player
15. Ability to work to demanding deadlines
Package
Competitive Salary + Uncapped Bonus
Full time. Hours are 9 to 5 and you will need to be in the office at least 3 days a week.
22 days leave + Bank Holidays + Christmas shutdown
Due to the global nature of the role, flexibility to work out of hours on global calls is required. There will be some international travel but online calls are the preferred route.
