At gtd healthcare, our People Services (HR) Team has grown year on year, and in order to continue providing an excellent people service to our business, we are looking to recruit an additional People Advisor.
This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join us in continuing to strengthen our people services function whilst allowing the successful candidate to make the role their own.
The People Advisor will report into the People Business Partners and will be responsible for providing excellent generalist people advice to their designated business areas, whilst working on business-wide projects and initiatives.

Main duties of the job
The People Advisor will have the following key responsibilities:
* Be the first point of contact for all manager and employee queries/issues, such as employee relations and sickness absence.
* Support service restructures and TUPE processes.
* Attend regular management meetings, providing accurate and timely data to inform people processes.
* Support the recruitment team with recruitment processes as required, including attending interviews.
* Supervise the work of the people administrators, including being the first point of escalation for work-related issues.
* Support the people business partners in conducting monthly KPI reporting.
* Actively involved in introducing, reviewing, and/or carrying out employee engagement/well-being projects and initiatives.
* Act as the super user for Rotamaster, developing system structures, etc. where required and providing support to the people administrators in completing payroll changes/updates to the system.
* Support in updating, and introducing, policies & procedures in line with employment legislation.
* Support the creation and delivery of training to be provided as required in line with organisational need.
Minimum Requirements
It is essential for the successful candidate to be CIPD qualified, and to possess a good standard of written and oral communication skills, including GCSE English qualifications. It is also required that applicants will have a driving license to support travel to various sites.

Job responsibilities
* Provide excellent advice and guidance to employees and line managers on day-to-day HR issues in line with company policies and procedures.
* Be the first point of contact for all employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance.
* Support managers to effectively manage sickness absence cases by advising and supporting in accordance with absence management policies.
* Support service restructures and TUPE processes, including managing consultation processes and redundancy.
* Respond to high volume queries and case management, responsible for personal time management.
* Attend regular management meetings, providing accurate and timely HR data to inform people processes.
* Conduct exit interviews and use collected data to inform retention initiatives and strategies.
* Support the recruitment team with recruitment processes as required.
* Ensure maternity, paternity, and adoption cases are managed effectively.
* Liaise with the people administrators to ensure sickness absence cases are captured and managed in line with Company policy.
* Supervise the work of the people administrators.
* Assist in ensuring people records are maintained and appropriate systems are developed.
* Support the people business partners in conducting monthly KPI reporting.
* Be responsible for centralised recording and reporting on employee data.
* Take an active part in employee engagement/wellbeing projects and initiatives.
* Act as the super user for Rotamaster, providing support to the people administrators.
* Support the head of people services and people business partners in updating HR policies & procedures.
* Support and assist the head of people services and wider business colleagues with a range of projects and initiatives as required.
* Keep abreast of developments in employment legislation and case law.

* Support GDPR compliance by ensuring employee data is processed in line with regulations.
* Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by the head of people services.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 c grade GCSEs including Maths and English or equivalent.
* CIPD qualification or similar.
* Driving licence.

* Understanding of employee contracts and requirements.
* Supporting organisational change processes.
* Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience of generating reports for senior management teams.
