Job overview
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our supportive, friendly and inclusive Cath Lab Team as a Staff Nurse. Your role will be to provide the highest standard of nursing care for the patients and their families/carers by ensuring that an ongoing welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for the patients while developing and maintaining good unit management and organisational skills.
You will be required to work primarily as a skilled member of the angiography nursing team, covering all areas of Day Stay/Cath Lab in CTC and to deliver the provision of high-quality care to patients and families and also participate in On Call PPCI service.
Main duties of the job
Your role will include planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient’s care following agreed care pathways, assisting with the provision of an environment conducive to the education of staff and the cleaning, maintenance and safe handling of equipment.
You will need to be proficient in the care of patients pre and post cardiac intervention, including scrub skills for the cardiac catheter lab and sheath removal, demonstrating skills in the care and management of the critically ill patient, working closely with all members of the care team to ensure the needs of the critically ill patient are met.
You will develop and maintain good unit management and organisational skills and assist with the provision of an environment conducive to the education of staff.
