An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales & Marketing Director to join one of Scotlands most iconic venues. This role offers the chance to lead sales, marketing and events teams, ensuring commercial growth and brand excellence at a world-renowned venue.
We are looking for a passionate and driven leader with experience gained in stadia, large-scale events, venues and hospitality. You will be instrumental in developing sales strategies, marketing initiatives and client relationships, ensuring that the venue continues to thrive through out the year and not just relying on its expected and year round business.
The Job
* Lead and inspire the Sales & Marketing team, ensuring strong performances and professional development.
* Develop and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to drive revenue across hospitality, conferencing and major events.
* Drive new business growth and manage key accounts, ensuring long-term client relationships.
* Oversee the evolution of the venues brand and marketing strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders.
* Ensure a high-performance culture, mentoring and developing staff to achieve ambitious targets.
* Monitor and manage the P&L to achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, company directors and key stakeholders.
* Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the venues reputation and experience.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience in sales, marketing and business development within stadia, large-scale venues or major events.
* A track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in coaching and developing teams.
* A commercial mindset, with the ability to manage budgets, drive profitability and control costs.
* Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
* Knowledge of the sporting, hospitality and conference industry, with existing networks in the local and national market.
* The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, making confident and strategic decisions.
The Benefits
* A competitive salary of £70,000 - £73,000 + 10% bonus.
