We are looking for a Non Functional Test Lead to be responsible for creating and overseeing test plans across various streams, taking information gathered from stakeholders, application code, monitoring metrics, policy, standards, traffic capturing, code analysis and any in-scope compliance requirement. A sizeable portion of this role is supporting other members of the performance team ensuring complex changes are delivered on-time while providing guidance and training on how to achieve our performance goals.
At Evri we carry out several types of performance testing: performance, stress, scalability, recovery, and portability testing. As a member of our team, you are expected to be an industry expert in these areas and support the development of relevant policies and standards aligned with industry best practices. You will join early in a systems lifecycle determine its performance testing needs and ensure everything required is in place. For each test, you will monitor resources, investigate discrepancies, and provide solutions to stakeholders highlighting issues and remediation work where needed. In collaboration with our development and service teams, provide feedback and guidance on scaling rules, instance sizing, and the best course of action in cases where performance degradation is identified.
You will be accountable for:
* Joining early in the project and product lifecycle to take complete ownership of assigned performance tasks and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing. Review product designs and usage patterns to validate or source non-functional requirements.
* Providing concise and reusable test packs for consistent feedback to test and dev teams.
* When problems arise, conducting a root cause analysis in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and clearly present your findings.
* When it comes to managing data, you will be responsible for either finding or generating the necessary test data.
* Regular reporting to key stakeholders (Defects Found, Work Estimations, and Test Results.)
* Mentoring of colleagues across Development and Test teams so we can all learn together.
* Co-ordination of cross team testing ensuring testing is conducted at the right time.
* Contributing to the test strategy and implementing it throughout the team ensuring we have the right technology or solution for the job.
To be successful in this role you will require the following…
* 5+ years' experience in performance test, with 2+ years in a senior performance test role.
* Strong experience of working in a cloud first environment with autoscaling policies.
* Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.
* Prior experience of working with dynamic data.
* Prior Experience with ticketing systems such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
* Excellent reporting skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Baseline understanding and appreciation for security and privacy by design and default.
* Significant knowledge of other performance tools and techniques.
* Consistent experience of using Evri technologies, JAVA, AWS (Amazon Web Services), Oracle, and AppDynamics.
* Unparalleled experience of using our testing tools, JMeter, Tarus, Python, GIT and Bash.
* Willingness to learn and present new things, we are a rapidly growing team with ambitions to move into other areas of testing and we welcome a change first attitude.
* A Computer Science Degree or equivalent would be advantageous.
