Role Overview
As a Calibration Technician your role will be to undertake calibration of load cells and instrumentation, operating test machines and recording results.
Main Duties
1. Calibration of load cells and instrumentation to customer specification
2. Set up and operation of test machinery
3. Handling load cells and precisely positioning them within the test environment
4. Applying appropriate forces via the test machinery and capturing the data produced
5. Recording test results within Excel via accurate data input
6. Inspection of mechanical and electrical instrumentation to ensure they function as required
7. Carrying out repair and soldering work to load cells
Required Skills and Attributes
1. Work with accuracy and attention to detail
2. Adopt a methodical approach to all tasks
3. Be practically minded with good hands-on experience
4. Have a willingness to learn, not afraid to ask questions
5. Be prepared to carefully read instruction manuals and specifications
6. Able to work to deadlines and maintain concentration under pressure
Minimum Requirements
GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or above.
Able to work unsupervised as part of a team, with the ability to prioritise and solve problems.
What We Offer
Salary depends on experience, Permanent, Full-Time.
Holidays: 25 days per annum + bank holidays.
37.5 Hour Working Week: Monday-Thursday: 8:30-17:00, Friday: 8:30-14:30.
