Main duties of the job
What you'll be responsible for:
* Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight.
* Assisting in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse.
* Ensuring that the patient is the prime focus when making decisions about their care and wellbeing.
* Assisting patients with compassion when undertaking normal activities of daily living whilst ensuring that privacy, dignity, and human rights are respected.
* The role will involve, but not be limited to, performing the above tasks.

Job Title: Care Support Worker - Acute & General
Trust: Royal Devon University Healthcare Trust
Location: Main sites are Royal Devon (Wonford Hospital) Exeter and North Devon District Hospital Barnstaple, other areas are Exmouth/Sidmouth/Honiton/Tiverton.
Shift Patterns: 7:30am to 3:30pm, 7:30am to 12:30pm, 9am to 5pm, 12:30pm to 8:30pm, 3:30pm to 8:30pm, 8pm to 8am.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* All Care support worker roles will be required to provide evidence of completing the Care Certificate or a relevant qualification.
* Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks clinical placements.
* Care Certificate from an NHS Organisation.
* QCF Level 2 Diploma in Healthcare Support Services issued after 2011.
* QCF Level 2 OR above Diploma in Health & Social Care or Clinical Healthcare Support issued after 2011.
* QCF Level 3 OR above Diploma in Healthcare Support or Maternity & Paediatric Support issued after 2011 (For Paediatric & Maternity roles only).
* Degree/Diploma in Nursing and currently do not have an NMC Registration.
Experience
* Minimum of 6 months Acute HCSW UK (Private, NHS or Armed Forces) hospital/hospice experience within the last 2 years.
