An excellent opportunity has arisen for aLead Applications Scientist to join the Personal Care team within the ConsumerCare department at our Global Headquarters, Cowick Hall.
The role will involve the investigationand formulation of Croda’s products for key uses within the Personal Caremarket, across a range of applications from hair care to skin care and colourcosmetics. A key part of the role will also be to develop our internalknowledge on the fundamental properties of our existing products and how theydeliver performance and applications benefits to Personal Care formulations.There will be opportunities to carry out creative formulation development,requiring an innovative mindset and problem-solving skills. You will berequired to plan your own work, maintaining high standards of good laboratorypractice and critically evaluate products and formulations.
The role holder will spend a proportionof their time providing technical support across the EMEA region and so theymust be a confident communicator and prepared to travel.

Essentials:
10. A degree in Chemistry, Biology or related science subject and demonstrable experience of using technical knowledge and understanding to solve complex scientific problems
11. You should have good laboratory skills and be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written reports
12. You should have strong interpersonal skills to enable you to build good working relationships both internally and externally to the business
13. You will be an excellent team player but also work well independently
14. You will be a positive, self-motivated individual with the ability to manage and plan your own workload
15. Able to be flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities depending onbusiness needs
Desirables:
Previous experience as a formulator within the personal care industry
