Job summary The successful candidate will join a team of 32 Consultant Radiologists with various subspecialty interests and will support the neuroradiology service for the patients of Swansea Bay and wider West Wales region. This post is joining five Neuroradiologists and one speciality doctor (3 with an interest in Head and Neck radiology). The post will involve reporting of general neuroradiology studies including CT and MRI as well as paediatric neuroradiology studies. Participation in the neuroradiology MDT and paediatric neuroradiology MDT will be essential. The role will also include becoming part of the neuroradiology on call team. The post will be based in Morriston Hospital, Swansea. Morriston Hospital is strategically placed on the M4 corridor, has a major Accident and Emergency Department and offers a wide range of general medical and general surgical services to the population of Swansea. The hospital hosts a number of sub-regional, regional and supra-regional specialist services including Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Neurology and Neurophysiology, Paediatrics, Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery, Oesophago-Gastric Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, ENT, Oro Maxillo-Facial Surgery, and Cleft Palate Surgery. The Wales Burns and Plastic surgery is also on the Morriston site.
