Lecturer/Senior Lecturer of Anatomy and Physiology
Job Purpose
1. To support the development and delivery of the academic provision to undergraduate and postgraduate students, ensuring an excellent student experience.
2. To undertake teaching and teaching-related activities as determined by the Course Leader/Course Director/Head of Department.
3. To participate in research, knowledge exchange, public engagement and/or scholarly activity for personal development and to enhance the reputation of the University.
4. To lead/contribute to University and/or School initiatives in line with the strategic business plan.
5. For a Senior Lecturer, take a leading role in the above activities, supporting the Course Director/Head of Department with operational management responsibilities, as required.
Selected Qualifications and Skills
1. Live registration with appropriate professional registers.
2. Previous experience of teaching and developing learning material in higher education.
3. Experience of providing pastoral and academic support to students.
4. A creative, innovative and flexible approach to facilitating learning, with a commitment to ensuring an excellent student experience.
5. Experience and knowledge of course management and implementing quality assurance and enhancement processes across awards.
6. Previous experience of teaching in HE and developing specialist teaching materials, with membership of the HE Academy or other equivalent teaching qualification.
