OFSTED Registered Manager – Children’s Home Location: London Salary: £60,000 P.A. Job Type: Full-time, 37 hours per week We are seeking an OFSTED Registered Manager to lead the operational delivery of Children’s Home. This role involves managing the bungalows that constitute the Children’s Home, overseeing other Children’s Home Managers and the Night Team Manager, and ensuring compliance with OFSTED standards and regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centred support to young people with physical disabilities and complex health needs, promoting independence and personal fulfilment. Day-to-day of the role: Manage and ensure the Children's Home meets required inspection standards under OFSTED and complies with the Children’s Homes Regulations (2015). Oversee the operational needs of the home, ensuring health and safety policies are followed. Develop and maintain comprehensive and detailed Person Centred Plans for all children and young people, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated. Facilitate a safe, homely, and welcoming environment, and address any issues that may be detrimental to this. Manage the health needs of children and young people in collaboration with Clinical Services to ensure the best outcomes. Lead and direct staff to provide personalised support that helps children and young people achieve learning outcomes and participate in enjoyable activities. Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead and ensure all safeguarding protocols are rigorously followed. Provide line management to Children’s Home Managers and the Night Team Manager, ensuring compliance with OFSTED requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as an OFSTED Registered Manager or in a similar managerial role within children's residential services. Strong understanding of OFSTED regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations (2015). Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a 24hr on-call rota for residential services. Commitment to promoting the welfare and development of young people with physical disabilities and complex health needs.
