Motorsport UK is the national membership organisation and governing body for four-wheel motorsport in the UK, representing competitors, volunteers, clubs and fans. As a member-focused organisation, they embrace a diverse community that includes 700 affiliated motor clubs, 30,000 competition licence holders, 10,000 volunteer marshals, 4,000 officials, and a legion of passionate motorsport spectators and fans. Motorsport UK is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to service and grow the sport.
Employing circa 80 employees at their fantastic headquarters on the outskirts of Bicester, Motorsport UK is looking to recruit an experienced HR professional to join their team and be responsible for all day-to-day HR functions and serve as the point of contact for all people-related queries. This is a varied role with room for development, and we are looking for candidates with strong generalist HR experience.

Hybrid working: 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home. Due to the office location, you MUST have access to your own transport to be considered.
Role Overview:
1. Support the business in enhancing and further developing its culture, values, and behaviours.
2. Run people processes and procedures that fully align with the values.
3. Support managers in the end-to-end recruitment process, including interviews and providing management training.
4. Support and run an onboarding process that ensures new people are productive and fully engaged as soon as possible.
5. Continue to develop the organisation's performance management process, ensuring that all employees have appropriate goals aligned to the organisation's strategy.
6. Support managers in managing performance issues within their teams.
7. Create appropriate career pathways/opportunities across the business.
8. Help to run the learning, development, and training programmes for employees that align with the business needs.
9. Manage and promote the online learning and development hub.
10. Carry out annual people surveys to track progress on engagement and to feed into ongoing people plans.
11. Oversee employee safety, wellness, welfare, health, and happiness, along with appropriate policies and programmes.
12. Assist with company-wide communications and management of social committees and staff committees.
13. Review company communication effectiveness and implement and maintain effective communication channels at all levels.
14. Help to support our well-being agenda (e.g., Mental Health awareness, healthy living, etc.).
15. Manage employee relations including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries and grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy alongside the HR & Operations Director.
16. Act as the confidential escalation point for any employee issues.
17. Maintain the relationship with external legal providers.
18. Manage relationships with external reward and benefits providers.
19. Help with the financial and non-financial recognition schemes that support the company's behaviours.
20. In conjunction with the finance function and remuneration committee, manage the annual pay review process.
21. Act as the primary administrator of the organisation's online People Management System.
22. Assist with drafting and management of all employment contracts and associated employee letters.
23. In conjunction with the Finance Department and our external payroll bureau, manage the payroll and pension, as well as assisting with employee tax and other compliance matters.
24. Ensure compliance across all employment-related legislation.
25. Work with the HR & Operations Director to continue the development of the organisation's secure central intranet.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience of working at HR Advisor level or above.
2. Ideally CIPD at a minimum of Level 5 or above.
3. Understanding and interest in motorsport is not essential but would be advantageous.
4. Able to communicate at all levels, internally and externally with board members, committees, and the community.
5. Strong administration skills and accuracy with personnel documentation.
6. Experience of end-to-end employee relations case management.
