We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to join our Management Team at the Holiday Inn Newcastle Gosforth Park.
The Holiday Inn Newcastle Gosforth Park has 151 en-suite bedrooms, 10 Meeting & Event Suites accommodating 10 to 300 delegates, Open Lobby including Bar & Restaurant. We also have on site Leisure Facilities including a 15-meter pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub alongside two treatment rooms and a well-equipped Gym.
Located just outside the city in a peaceful setting on the border of Newcastle upon Tyne and Northumberland with great transport links to the A1 / A19 and 15 minutes drive to Newcastle International Airport.
Working very closely with the General Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the hotel, ensuring quality and service levels are maintained at an excellent level, while working with in revenue and budget targets. Ideally with a hotel background, you will play a hands on role and have good business sense. Previous experience in a similar position is essential.
Duties of the Operations Manager include:
* Overseeing the smooth running of the hotel and departmental operations - Responsibility for 7-line managers
* Completing Weekly Forecasts / Rotas / Stats / Reports / Month End / Stock Checks
* Co-ordinate and lead weekly operational meetings and management meetings
* Good knowledge of food and beverage including a busy banqueting operation
* Stock control, audit and purchasing
* Good knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
* Acknowledge and responding to any customer complaints
* Hours are those to meet the demands of the business varied to include evenings and weekends
