Project Engineer

Project Engineers urgently required to work for a world leading specialist manufacturing organisation near Eastleigh. We are looking for hands-on Project Engineers who have a history in the engineering/manufacturing sectors. You will be from an Engineering background and will be part of the projects team looking after multiple ongoing projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and that all criteria are met. You will be offering technical support, issue resolution, reviewing engineering deliverables, and initiating appropriate corrective actions. Additionally, you will build customer relationships, identify potential issues, and help resolve them.
Responsibilities
1. Interact daily with project team members, internally and externally, to ensure timely progress of engineering projects.
2. Work with Production Engineering to load projects to ERP system.
3. Work with Procurement to resolve exception reports created by ERP system.
4. Work with Production and Warehouse to manage material deliveries to Manufacturing.
5. Work with Engineering to resolve engineering issues and Project Management to report status of projects.
6. Work with Technical Product Managers to collate technical documentation for final safety sign off of equipment.
7. Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
8. Resolve any problems with the team, plans, and budget to ensure that the project flows smoothly.
9. Identify potential problems with the project, leading the team into developing solutions and ensuring that they are implemented.
10. Host meetings to track and drive progress of projects.
11. Build, develop, and maintain relationships within the project team.
12. Work with third-party contractors/suppliers to develop viable time scales and working practices.
13. Manage project schedules in conjunction with the Project Manager.
Qualifications & Skills Required
1. Degree in Engineering or experience in relevant engineering fields (Mechanical / Electrical).
2. Production or Engineering experience.
3. Experience in Project Engineering.
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, translate product drawings into actionable process information, and develop design ideas and plans successfully.
5. Understanding of design and visualisation software.
6. Excellent analytical and judgement skills.
7. Work autonomously with the ability to set and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to build morale among the teams and drive projects through the business.
10. Excellent understanding of customer expectations and deliverables and the desire to produce high-quality products.
