The Post To assist the Repairs and Maintenance Operations in the smooth delivery of a quality customer focused service. The successful applicant would have experience from either Site Management/Quantity Surveying or possess a strong Trade Background within a Decent Homes, Capital Works, or repairs and maintenance environment. The candidate will ensure that they are organised to manage the smooth running of multiple planned workstreams such as decent homes kitchens, bathrooms, rewires, disabled adaptations, communal works, etc., and carry out multiple quality inspections to properties within a reasonable geographical area. You will be required to manage and maintain excellent quality standards ensuring a quality customer focused service to exceed our service level requirements. Flexibility In order to work effectively in a changing environment, flexibility is required from the post holder. This may be that other tasks are undertaken and/or location of base may change. These will be within the same level of responsibility and terms and conditions of employment. Main Responsibilities You will have a varied workload, which usually entails being based from a local strategic site office but carrying out multiple visits to properties throughout multiple locations when managing planned work along with managing the quality delivered within our schemes. Typical work activities include: Day to day management of various workstreams. Day to day management of direct operatives, sub-contractors and individual workload. Ensure that all works are carried out safely and to an excellent quality standard. Monitoring health and safety at all times and ensuring Breyer Group policies are being implemented. Supervisory visits as necessary relating to tenant issues, complaints, and contractors. To maintain our corporate image and service standards. • Maintain strong communication with residents at all times. • To undertake any pre-survey work as and when required. Where necessary, dealing with tenants issues and complaints. Supervision of Disabled Adaptation works, including liaison with Client Occupational Therapists, production of specifications and drawings, and monitoring of work progress. Ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities relating to planned work and contractor compliance. The gathering and dissemination of all relevant information between site management, sub-contractors, direct operatives, and the client. The utilization of Breyer Group IT structures in order to ensure the smooth running of various workstreams. Adhering to GDPR laws. Any other duties as requested by Management. Person Specification The successful candidate should meet the following requirements: Qualification Trades background First Aid Trained Asbestos Awareness Training DBS check preferred Full UK driving License Knowledge and experience Experience within the repairs industry working on planned & voids work (essential) Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Good understanding of schedule of rates. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to communicate with management
