We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant to join our team on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Senior Financial Accountant, the successful candidate will provide support to the finance team for all Dolphin Drilling branches.
Role Requirements:
* Manage the relationship with our invoice data capture solution ensuring:
o All incoming invoices received are checked and recorded correctly.
o Any failed or rejected invoices are resolved and added to our ERP system.
o Regular feedback is provided by completion of the data capture error report.
* Ensure all non purchase order (PO) invoices are allocated to the correct profit centre and appropriate accountant for further action within our ERP system.
* Organise and control all accounting work for Company/Group’s overheads which includes:
o Processing supplier and intercompany invoices.
o Preparing accurate accruals to ensure correct timing of income and costs.
o Preparing high quality management reports with detailed analysis and meaningful commentaries which explain variances to budgets and forecasts.
o Preparing budgets and forecasts in line with Group requirements.
* Ensure that predefined balance sheet reconciliations for the Group’s UK subsidiaries have been prepared and approved.
* Undertake regular ERP system housekeeping by way of balance sheet clearing.
* Reporting, analysis and follow up of aged GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) balances.
* Preparation of Office for National Statistics submissions.
* Provide support to the annual audit of the Group’s UK subsidiaries.
* Keep the Senior Financial Accountant and/or Senior Group Accountant informed of all issues influencing reporting and results.
* Assist with ad-hoc projects and other tasks within the finance team.
Qualifications/Competencies:
* Minimum of one year’s experience in a relevant area.
* Experienced in Excel and data processing.
* Self-motivated and driven.
* Effective and proven communication skills.
