Job Title: Ofsted Deputy Manager Location: London, UB6 Salary: £18.14 per hour (40 hours per week) Sleep-in shifts paid at £70.50 per shift Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Ofsted Deputy Manager to join our team at Hawthorn House and Acacia House, both EBD homes registered under the same RM in London. The successful candidate will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the effective and safe running of the homes, delivering high-quality care to young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the leadership of both homes, with a flexible shift pattern to support the 24/7 operations of the service. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operation of Hawthorn House and Acacia House, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and company policies. Support the development and implementation of individualized care plans for each resident, ensuring their emotional, physical, and social needs are met. Supervise and support care staff, providing leadership, training, and guidance to ensure high standards of care and support are maintained. Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents, promoting a positive environment that encourages development and independence. Participate in the recruitment, training, and performance management of staff, ensuring they meet the necessary standards for their roles. Maintain accurate records, including incident reports and care plans, in compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed at all times and contribute to a culture of openness and transparency. Work flexibly across a variable shift pattern, providing support to the homes 7 days a week as required. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare. Previous experience working in residential childcare, particularly with young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection procedures. Experience in supervising and supporting staff in a residential care setting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and external professionals. Desirable Skills: A full, valid UK driving licence (strongly favourable). Experience in a Deputy Manager role or equivalent supervisory position in a residential care setting. Working Hours: This role works on a variable shift pattern, including weekends, and may require working evenings and nights. A fixed shift pattern is not available.
