Salary: £37,000.00 - £47,000.00 – Dependant on experience
Hours of Week: 40 hours

Requirements:
•NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Working with Young People / adult Management. NVQ/Diploma Level 5 or willingness to work towards this
•Proven experience at Deputy/Senior level in a Residential Home for adults/young people
• Able to demonstrate advanced practice skills and experience in managing challenging behaviour.
•Demonstrate good working knowledge of CQC fundamental working standards and regulations
.•Working knowledge of the National Care Standards, Care Act and Regulations.
•Good attention to detail and work to high standards.
•Work using own initiative, taking full ownership, responsibility and accountability within the role.
•Ability to develop and encourage professional growth in others.
As a Deputy Residential Manager, you will:
•Co-ordinate and monitor staffing levels within the home to ensure that individual need is met. Ensure Rota’s are managed effectively, utilising staff to meet the needs of the young adults/people and the service. Additionally, the role will require working supernumerary hours to support young adults/people, staff and the service.
•Assist the Registered Manager in ensuring that there is an appropriate Statement of Purpose for the home and that this document is updated on a regular basis.
•Organise, deliver and co-ordinate induction, supervision, appraisal and support to individual staff.
•Assist the Registered Manager in providing operational management of the staff team and to deploy staff resources in order that key objectives are fulfilled.
•Ensure that the standards within the home are maintained and developed in line with the Care Standards Act 2000 and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2001.
•Maintain a clean and safe environment paying particular attention to Health and Safety legislation and environmental health needs.
•To work proactively with monitoring Expectations and Standards to ensure that service is developing beyond the set standards.

Located in Birkenhead, Acrefield contains 5 bedrooms, supports young people from the ages of 16 to 25 with very complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities and mental health issues.
