Summary of the Role:
As an Application Scientist at Lhasa Limited, you will play a crucial role in bridging scientific knowledge with practical application. In this full-time position, you’ll be at the forefront of driving the development of our tools, through understanding and addressing our members’ needs. By fostering strong relationships with our members and internal teams, you’ll support Lhasa in developing cutting-edge software solutions, which solve real-world chemical safety assessment problems. Playing a leading role by working with our scientists and delivery team to develop our solutions.

Main Responsibilities
* Knowledge and experience of toxicology, metabolism, degradation, and organic chemistry.
* Recognised scientific expert who bridges the gap between our science and industrial applications.
* Knowledgeable about all Lhasa solutions and their application in different industries.
* Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Identify opportunities that support existing product (solution) development, gaining access to data and knowledge that supports and enables internal delivery teams to deliver value to members and regulators.
* Lead the Application Science work within a Lhasa solution team
* Support product strategy
* Lead external solution releases
* Own prioritisation of member feedback
* Accountable for solution training material
* Support solution promotion
* Lead advanced technical support handling
* Lead creation and coordination of solution consortiums
* Promote the use of in silico solutions for decision-making through impactful scientific communications (e.g. publications, posters, presentations).
* Internal leadership (e.g. mentoring, line managing, prioritising member demand for a solution, proactively demonstrating how to do things better).
Attributes
* An undergraduate degree, masters, or PhD in a relevant scientific field.
* Extensive experience of the application of in silico tools within pharma and other industries.
* Knowledge of toxicology, metabolism, degradation, and organic chemistry in the context of industry workflows. This can include strong knowledge of global regulations applicable to the pharma industry, for example: ICH Q3A, Q3B, Q3C, Q3D, Q3E, ICH M7, RDC 53.
* Experience on writing/submitting dossiers and risk assessments to regulators would be desirable.
* Excellent scientific communicator, with the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
* A proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative and problem solve.
* Negotiation and leadership skills
* Workability to work both independently and as part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
* Strong interpersonal skills with sensitivity to cultural differences.
* Willingness and ability to travel frequently internationally.
