Further details about the role
Main duties would be tokeep the site clean, healthy and safe for the school community of pupils, parents, staff and other visitors, with responsibility for:
• Ensuring the premises are compliant and meet Health and Safety requirements
• Security of the buildings and site including testing of alarms, emergency lighting and fault reporting
• Assistance with emergency evacuation drills
• Grounds maintenance ensuring the grounds and building are safe for children and families to enter and leave
• Monitoring of the school building and facilities and reporting on their condition
• Undertake general maintenance and minor refurbishment of premises, fixtures and fittings as necessary
• Ensure all compliance checks are completed and remedial works actioned
• Practical support with arrangements for meetings/events
• Receipt and distribution of deliveries, assembly and the movement of goods and equipment around the building
• Some cleaning responsibilities
