The Role
Due to continuous growth and a drive to focus on quality, commercial control and attracting and retaining top talent we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our award-winning team. We have a variety of schemes already on site ranging from £5m to £54m along with a strong pipeline for 2025, which is underpinned by our exceptional construction team.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Management of sub-contractor procurement.
2. Attend sub-contractor Pre-Contract meetings.
3. Preparation of formal sub-contract Agreements.
4. Management of legal issues and disputes.
5. Management of important commercial issues.
6. Management of sub-contractor interim accounts.
7. Agreement of sub-contractor final accounts.
8. Submission of monthly CVR reports.
9. Submission of monthly Profit and Loss reports.
10. Presentation of Commercial and Post-Contract Reviews.
11. Management of external Applications for Payment.
12. Agreement of Client final accounts.
13. Supervision and training of junior members of staff.
14. Attend internal team meetings.
15. Attend Client and Design meetings as required.
16. Convene and attend sub-contractor meetings as required.
17. General office and site administration.
About You
Aligned to our ethos and values, you will be an integral part of our team as an experienced professional with a strong background in the industry and relevant qualifications such as a BSc, NVQ4, or MRCIS. The ideal candidate will possess excellent IT skills, commercial awareness, and a deep understanding of construction techniques, processes, and standard building contracts. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation skills are essential, along with high levels of literacy, numeracy, and time management.
