About the Role:We are seeking an experiencedStock Condition Surveyorto join aCouncil Client in Hampshire. The role involves conductingstock condition surveysacross the councilshousing portfolio, ensuring accurate data collection and maintaining thestock database. The successful candidate will help assess the condition of properties, propose improvements, and support the councilsasset management strategy .Key Responsibilities:Conductstock condition surveyson rented housing properties, including flats, houses, and communal areas.
Recordcondition datausing both manual and digital systems.
Ensure allproperty componentshave an assessed and recordedNext Inspection Year .
Identifyhealth & safety risksand report any breaches to relevant colleagues.
Assess properties using theHousing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS) .
ConductEnergy Performance Certificate (EPC) surveyswhere necessary.
Take and managephotographic recordsof properties and key components for the stock database.
Ensureroutine repairsidentified during surveys are escalated to relevant teams.
Work closely withHousing and Property Services staffto share survey findings and support asset planning.
Ensure compliance withHealth & Safety regulations, including the use of PPE and safe working practices.
Essential Skills & Experience:Strongknowledge of building surveying and property assessment .
Experience inconducting stock condition surveysand managing asset databases.
Understanding ofbuilding terms, component lifecycles, and maintenance planning .
Ability tomulti-task and meet strict deadlines .
Proficiency inMicrosoft Officeand survey data collection software.
Strongcommunication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-specialists.
FullUK driving licenceand access to a vehicle for site visits.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:Membership of a professional bodyin construction, facilities management, or maintenance.
HND or degree-level qualificationin a construction-related field.
HHSRS accreditation(Housing Health & Safety Rating System).
Energy Performance Survey accreditation .
