Role: Senior Engineer / Team Leader Salary: £52,000 to £55,000 per annum, plus Enhanced Overtime Pay, Contributory Pension, Life Assurance, and opportunities to learn and grow Hours: Mon Fri 6am 2pm & 2pm 10pm Plus Alternating Weekends On Call Location: Commutable from Goole, Selby, Howden, Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Pontefract, Garforth, York, Market Weighton, Hull and surrounding areas Company We are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer / Team Leader ideally with an Electrical Bias, to lead a small maintenance team within a fast-paced manufacturing company near Goole. The engineering function is a small but growing team of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers that you will support & lead responding to breakdowns, undertaking PPM or project work. Responsibilities The Senior Engineer / Team Leader will also be a hands-on Engineer, able to provide insights & guidance when the team need it, as well as undertaking all aspects of PPM, troubleshooting & diagnosing issues, problem solving and project work. In addition, you will also plan and carry out preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure a high standard of plant maintenance is always achieved. You will assist or oversee all maintenance & breakdown activities on site. The successful candidate will be leading a small maintenance team ensuring that all plant equipment is operating efficiently with the minimum amount of downtime and in a safe order. You will also need to ensure the team are adhering to strict health and safety requirements at all times. Lead the Electrical & Mechanical maintenance of plant machinery through fault finding, planned maintenance, shutdowns and project work. Ensure that repairs are carried out promptly and safely Complete reports/paperwork accurately Plan & assist with the installation of new plant equipment. Develop an understanding of the machinery operation so that faults can be diagnosed and rectified more efficiently. Provide good communications to the Plant Manager, colleagues and production, keeping the required logs of maintenance work. Always work safely and ensure the team follow safe systems of work. The role will include people and team leadership and all Electrical & Mechanical fault finding & issues including Control Panels, Switches, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Steam Boilers, Valves, Belts, Chains, Gearboxes, Pumps, Bearings etc and additional knowledge of PLCs is useful but not essential. Requirements Previous or current experience as a Senior Engineer or Team Leader combined with hands-on engineering skills Have completed a recognised Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold a minimum of Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
