Flooring Superstore is our main brand selling a wide range of floor types, whilst Direct Wood Flooring and Grass Direct are more specialist brands focused on smooth flooring and artificial grass respectively.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Flooring Installation Customer Service Expert to join our head office team based in Bishop Auckland.

About the role
We pride ourselves in offering excellent service for our customers via Live Chat, emails and calls. It’s important to assess customers' needs to achieve the best resolution for each customer in order to provide the highest level of satisfaction. Building sustainable relationships and trust with customers and internal staff members is crucial. A high level of attention to detail, ability to prioritise tasks and confidence to find resolutions with your own initiative is key on a daily basis.
About you
You will bring onboard with you, your already existing communication skills and confident telephone manner. As this is customer service you will also develop good relationships with customers and be empathetic of their situations.
You will have an understanding of the flooring installation process, including issues that could be faced during and after for carpets, vinyl, tiles, hardwood, artificial grass and decking. You’ll be responsible for using your knowledge to find the root cause of flooring/ installation issues and “out of the box” resolutions for customers that have faced these. The role includes helping customers & colleagues on the install process, answering questions on key environmental factors and general maintenance advice.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within the flooring industry, must be highly organised with great attention to detail and a passion for delivering a trademark level of customer service.
You will also:
* Have an understanding of flooring & the installation process
* Have strong organisational skills
* Rapport building and objection handling skills are essential
* Be strong-minded and professional with an ability to negotiate and influence confidently at all levels
* Direct retention or sales experience is advantageous; however, we will consider transferable skills from previous roles
* Excellent customer care skills and customer-focused attitude
* Self-motivation with a positive approach to targets
* A genuine passion for sales and customer service

The role is full-time; 37.5 hours a week on a Monday - Friday basis, work from home one day a week is available upon request after a successful probation period and potential for flexible working hours.
