Job Title: Department Trainer – Food Manufacturing
Location: The Compleat Food Group Sterte Avenue, Poole, Dorset BH15 2AS
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:00 or 08:00 - 16:00 (with flexibility)
Your Role as Department Trainer:
As a Department Trainer, you will be key to ensuring that all employees are trained effectively and continue to grow in their
roles. You will be responsible for delivering “hands-on” training in standard operational procedures, supporting new starters, and
providing ongoing development opportunities for all employees. You will work closely with teams across the department, promoting a
culture of competence, initiative, and safety, while helping us maintain the high-quality standards that we’re known for.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hands-On Training: Deliver operational training for new employees, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to
succeed in their roles.
* Continuous Development: Provide ongoing training and development to all employees, fostering a culture of learning and
excellence.
* Support & Guidance: Be the go-to person for any routine questions, offering support and assistance to employees as they settle
into their roles.
* Health & Safety: Ensure that all work is carried out according to Health & Safety regulations, creating a safe and secure work
environment.
* Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality across all operations, ensuring that the team meets our rigorous quality
control standards.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, approachable, and driven to help others succeed. The ideal candidate will be a
natural problem-solver, a confident communicator, and a team player with a passion for learning and development.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
* Fluent in both written and spoken English.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills to record and analyse training data.
* High level of IT proficiency (especially MS Office tools like Excel).
* A self-starter with the ability to achieve goals with minimal supervision.
* A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and be coached.
* A commitment to quality, customer service, and Health & Safety practices.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work well under pressure.
* Previous experience in training or coaching is advantageous.
* Knowledge of the M3 system is desirable but not essential.
