As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Solving problems, ensuring efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across site.
Key Tasks:
1. Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns, minimising downtime.
2. Conduct planned maintenance and statutory checks with precision and professionalism.
3. Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and team to prioritise tasks and resolve issues swiftly.
4. Provide support for continuous improvement projects and business-critical initiatives.
5. Manage contractors and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
6. Learn and enhance machine processes, ensuring optimal operation.
7. Document completed work and propose actionable solutions for outstanding issues.
The Person:
You are a skilled professional with a safety-first mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach.
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. Apprentice trained Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance Engineer (NVQ3/C&G/ONC).
2. Proven experience attending to breakdowns and planned maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment.
3. Knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic.
4. PLC fault finding experience - desirable.
5. Strong technical fault-finding skills and ability to work from engineering drawings.
