Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our primary school team in Treharris. In this vital role, you will support students in managing their behaviour and developing positive coping strategies, ensuring a conducive learning environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist students in managing their behaviour and cultivating effective coping mechanisms.
* Conduct one-on-one and group mentoring sessions for students exhibiting challenging behaviours.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and external professionals to implement tailored behaviour intervention plans.
* Monitor and track student progress, making adjustments to support strategies as necessary.
* Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Previous experience working with students facing behavioural challenges in an educational context.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
* Demonstrated patience, empathy, and resilience when managing challenging situations.
* Ability to implement effective behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
* A genuine passion for promoting the social and emotional well-being of students.
