JOB TITLE: HR Advisor – Retail UKI

JOB PURPOSE
To act as advisor to field based line managers and employees, building and maintaining strong partnerships and supporting all aspects of the employee life cycle and providing expertise and support on a wide range of HR solutions including recruitment, engagement, development and retention to achieve business goals and maximise business performance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Provide ongoing partnership and professional, proactive advisory support to Area Sales & Education Managers across UKI on all aspects of people management
* Manage complex ER cases with support of HR Business Partner – Retail if required
* Support with the company policy and procedure agenda, keeping abreast of changes in legislation and making proposals for change, ensuring the HR team and wider business are kept up to date
* Coach and develop the HR Assistant and HR Coordinator to enable them to provide high quality 1st line advice and support on all aspects of company policy and procedure to both employees and field managers
* Collaborate within the HR Team and other departments on key initiatives and implementation of HR related activity and projects for retail and corporate where needed
* Collate and analyse HR management information on a regular basis, including headcount, organisation, absence, labour turnover, recruitment metrics and any other people related data required
* Identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve the HR processes and practices to maximise business performance
* Support the formal performance and salary review process for all retail employees including communication, training, engagement and administration
Engagement, Retention and Resource Planning
* Work in conjunction with HR Business Partner - Retail and the wider human resources team to create and implement strategies to increase performance, drive sales and reduce attrition
* Regularly review our Compensation and Benefits approach to ensure it attracts, retains and appropriately rewards retail talent
* Support and provide guidance on HR processes to include performance reviews, talent assessment and succession planning
* Evolve and develop current attraction methods for retail employees in line with the skills and behaviours required for brand fit
* Meet with Area Sales & Education Managers to review, challenge, support and drive the succession planning process to facilitate robust plans to meet current and future requirements
* Interview with Line Managers for key positions where required
Development
* Partner with line managers to review the effectiveness of onboarding of all new retail starters
* Constantly assess the training needs of the retail and field population and provide feedback to the HR Partner - Retail to inform the requirements of ongoing development
* Collaborate on the development and facilitation of training for retail and field managers
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience
* Experience of working in a multi-site retail or service organisation
* Strong generalist HR background with proven track record of delivering an effective HR advisory service within a fast changing environment
Technical skills
* CIPD qualified or currently working towards qualification
* Excellent organisation and coordination skills
* Proven ability to design and deliver commercially focused HR initiatives
