Junior IT Project Manager, c£30-£40k + bonus + bens
Fantastic opportunity for an IT Project Manager ( Waterfall / Agile Hybrid) with around 3 to 5 years commercial experience to join this rapidly expanding consultancy business who provide Project Portfolio Management services, working with their large scale clients to drive their change programmes and their understanding of the change-in-business space. The work is centralised around IT so a technical understanding is highly preferable. They are currently running a number of large complex change programmes and the successful project manager(s) will strengthen specific aspects of those programmes by working with the PM’s and Programme Manager on delivery of projects and components of those projects for their clients. Working in a mainly virtual environment (i.e. home working) utilising digital platforms, you are self-motivated and will be able to work autonomously as the digital face of the business to clients, hence an appropriate personality who is presentable and not camera shy is a must together with excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organisational ability and structured, methodical approach.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Project planning and management
* Financial management
* Team Management / team building
* Product Owner / Sponsor support
* Process management and improvement
* Programme / project support
You will have a professional project management qualification (Prince 2 and / or Agile accreditation or equivalent commercial experience 3-5 years) and ideally experience of other methodologies (e.g. Kanban, Unified Process, etc) and / or membership of a professional organisation (e.g. APM (RPP) / PMI / BCS) as well as proof of technical background through previous or current accreditations. You have a solid understanding of traditional project management principles and SDLC and good knowledge of Waterfall and Agile practices. You can also demonstrate a proven track record of successfully implementing software, digital, infrastructure and cloud services projects as a project manager within medium sized projects. Prior experience with SCRUM / Agile methodologies with team level application and infrastructure projects with multi-function project teams with at least 5 members including Developers, Infrastructure engineers, Solution designers, Business Analysts, Project Analysts and QA Test is desired.
