JRS Associates have partnered with an exciting precision engineering company in the local area to find a talented Production Engineer to join their team. Package:
* Salary: £45,000 per annum
* Working Hours: Dayshift – 08:00am – 17:00pm (Mon-Thu) and 08:00am – 13:00pm (Fri)

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and oversee the production of precision engineering parts to maximize efficiency.
* Serve as the single point of contact for customers, managing communication and expectations.
* Develop and implement manufacturing processes for the shop floor.
* Provide quotes for lead times and costs, ensuring timely delivery.
* Program and support CNC Milling and Turning machines, including 4 & 5-axis machining centres.
* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and reduce waste through lean methodologies.
* Solve daily production problems and implement permanent solutions.
* Produce accurate stage drawings and CNC/CADCAM programs.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production and quality goals.
Requirements:

Essential:
* HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Proficiency in programming and setting CNC machines (Turning and Milling).
* Experience with CAD/CAM software and 4/5-axis machining.
* Demonstrable knowledge of ISO9001 & AS9100 standards.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

* Experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries.
* Knowledge of APQP/PFMEA processes.
* Familiarity with machine inspection techniques.
