Forklift Engineer Fitter Job Type: Permanent Location: Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire, Goole, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Beverley, Hornsea Post Code: HU1 3TF Salary: £36,000 Basic, £50,000 with Overtime Start Date: ASAP Established engineering firm seek a highly skilled and motivated Forklift Engineer / Fitter. Your role will involve the full repair, refurbishment, and maintenance of heavy-handling machinery. You will be a well-rounded engineer with experience across various engineering disciplines, including mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities: Repair and Refurbishment: Fully repair and refurbish forklifts and other heavy-handling equipment, working both in workshops and on-site. Diagnostics: Use schematic drawings and machine manuals to diagnose and identify faults, ensuring all machinery is in optimal working condition. Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including servicing, part replacements, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Required Qualifications and Skills: Level 3 Qualification in Engineering or equivalent. Experienced Forklift Engineer Fitter At least 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong emphasis on forklift repair. Proficient in using mechanical power tools, workshop machinery, and capable of working offsite with minimal equipment. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to identify and repair faulty components. Compliance with health and safety regulations. Driving License.
