Partner with the best: In this role, as Electronics Engineer you will designing and developing electronics of PRISMIC controllers/systems. You will also work with cross functional engineering team and product manager to undertake wide range of tasks, including PCB design, microcontroller selection, electronic component level obsolescence and lifecycle management. As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for: Designing and development of PRISMIC excitation controllers (including rectifiers and electronic design) Supporting new design, upgrade and optimise power management system electronics, including I/O modules, controller, watchdog, and monitoring systems Selecting microcontrollers that satisfy product requirements, considering factors like processing power, memory, compatibility, life cycle, and compliance Designing, configuration, and testing of communication protocols such as Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, CAN, IEC60870-5-104, IEC61850, NTP, Syslog, etc based on product requirements Developing, prototype, and oversee PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design, layout, and assembly for electronic components, considering factors such as signal integrity, thermal management, EMC, and reliability as part of development/program management Proactively identify components or technologies approaching obsolescence and develop strategies for component replacement or redesign to ensure the longevity of our PRISMIC components Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and repairing of functional units from site/under test Developing testing protocols and perform rigorous testing and validation of electronics and system components to ensure they are compatible with entire control system, satisfy performance, environment and reliability standards Creating clear and comprehensive design documentation, including interface specifications, style guides, and user documentation Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, control engineers, and system engineers, to deliver integrated solutions Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have a bachelor’s degree in electronic or control engineering, Computer Science or similar related subject or relevant experience Have proven experience in electronic product development/design within power generation or similar industry Have hands on experience with PCB design and layout software (e.g., CADStar or similar) Have expertise in creating and managing Gerber files. Have knowledge of product development based on microcontroller based electronic control system / control and communication systems including Modbus, Ethernet and IEC61850. Have a high level of competency in C, C++ for QNX, embedded Linux and Windows Have experience with obsolescence management and component lifecycle planning. Have good knowledge of software-based microsystems / control and communication systems including Modbus, Ethernet and IEC61850 Working to high standards of software quality control including use of GitLab and other revision control software.
