Why is the role important?
The Finance Business Partner is a key role which ensures that the financial information for the organisation is accurate, managed effectively and enables us to make informed and accurate business decisions.
Key Outcomes
* To ensure that the financial information for the organisation is accurate, managed effectively and enables us to make informed and accurate business decisions.
* Delivery of a highly effective finance business partnering approach to a range of budget holders.
* Monitor and forecast expenditure across a range of budget areas to ensure accurate forecasts are delivered in line with agreed deadlines.
What’s involved?
* Assist with the budget setting and monitoring process for a range of business areas.
* Supervise finance staff within the finance team.
* Maintain accurate records for financial expenditure, using the finance system to meet the requirements of audit.
* Ensure accounting reconciliations and month end management accounts are complete and up to date to ensure the integrity of the balance sheet and income and expenditure account.
* Assist with preparation of financial statements and year end accounting processes, including the subsidiaries of Bolton at Home.
* Liaise with internal and external audit for appropriate areas of responsibility.
