Main duties of the job
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Practice Educator Facilitators [PEFs] with a special interest in End-of-Life Care [EoLC] who will design, implement and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff in line with National Frameworks and Standards, Trust Strategy and local requirements. The PEFs will work across UHBW adult services to improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of those caring for patients with life limiting conditions and those closest to them.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential
* Recent and relevant experience as a registered nurse caring for patients with life limiting illness
* Evidence of informal and formal teaching experience
* Portfolio of continuing professional development
* Current knowledge of national and local standards and guidance regarding adult end of life care
* Able to understand the education training needs of staff
Desirable
* Evidence of research and audit participation
* Experience of developing education training packages
* Experience as a clinical supervisor
* Knowledge of current changes within the NHS and nurse education
* Broad knowledge of the framework for pre and post registration education in UK and Europe
Skills and Abilities
Essential
* Able to manage databases with a working knowledge of I.T
* Able to effectively contribute to a clinical environment that is motivating and conducive to lifelong learning
* Innovative and able to create a variety of learning opportunities for staff
* Able to develop and enhance education/training packages for all staff
* Able to engage with a variety of personnel within the Trust and outside e.g. University, Network
* Able to undertake and deliver presentations
Qualifications
Essential
* 1st Level Registration
* Post Registration course in a relevant subject
* Bachelor's Degree (or working towards)
* Willingness to undertake a PGCE or Master's Degree
Desirable
* Teaching and assessment qualifications/PGCE
