Key Responsibilities: Building on their recent successes, our client MBDA is seeking flexible and motivated candidates to further develop DragonFire into a world-class, deployable Laser Directed Energy Weapon (LDEW) air defence system. Their ambitious plans include parallel and interleaved streams of pioneering technology experimentation and rapid weapon system development. This provides exceptional opportunities across key weapon system domains, including Systems Engineering, requirements, design, performance analysis, and certification. Delivery of TRS / Verification / Certification documentation throughout the project life cycle Support to the delivery of project material for design reviews Conduct and delivery of system trade studies analysis and reports What do you need?: Lead and innovate in System Design Engineering. Drive and undertake trade studies and system development activities. Bring your experience in developing complex systems, ideally in defence. Communicate architectures and ideas effectively at all levels. Collaborate with design authorities to elaborate user requirements. Support functional design with requirement flow down through system, sub-system, and equipment. Share technical information with customers in an understandable manner. Build excellent working relationships with key partners. Develop, build, and grow the Systems Design team and its members as the project evolves. Utilise system architecting tools like DOORS, DOORS NG, and Rhapsody (desirable). Knowledge of lasers or maritime system integration is highly beneficial. What happens now?
