About the role
We are seeking to recruit a permanent driver with a responsible and caring attitude to assist in Adult Day Care transport in the Ferndown Area.
What you can expect to be doing:
1. Transporting to and from the day centre, usually for approx. 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday, in split shifts (morning and afternoon).
2. Driving a 17-seater mini bus or smaller.
About you:
1. You must have a category D1(101) or D or D1 on your driving licence.
2. Experience working with the elderly or adults with learning disabilities.
3. Conveying passengers safely to and from their homes and other establishments, in accordance with the route schedule (with or without the assistance of an escort), while ensuring their comfort and addressing any particular disabilities.
4. Being physically fit enough to push wheelchairs and secure them in vehicles.
Further Information
This is a part-time role for 20 hours per week.
A DBS check for adults and children will be done as part of the recruitment process.
A driving assessment will need to be undertaken as part of the interview.
