Principal Fire Engineer Job in Manchester, Cheshire
in Manchester, for an established and leading fire consultancy. As a key part of the Fire Engineering team, you will be working through all stages of complex fire engineering projects. The role offers a salary of £65,000 – £90,000 + Bonus + 27 Days Holiday + BH + hybrid working + healthcare + continuous CPD / professional development.

Role & Responsibilities
1. Reporting to Associate Fire Engineer / Associate Director
2. Managing technical aspects of larger projects or components of major projects
3. Support and mentor Fire Engineers within your team
4. Delivery of fire consultancy services, designer services and fire strategies
5. Manage internal and external enquiries
6. Develop new and existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
7. Lead the fire engineering team/s to deliver multiple projects
8. Attend design team meetings throughout the project
9. Support with business strategy and digital innovations
10. Preparation of reports, engineering designs, calculations and specifications
11. Project manage from start to end including financials, quality management planning and customer care.
12. Client facing through the lifecycle of projects.
Required Skills & Experience
13. Engineering Council Accredited BEng Hons, MEng or MSc
14. CEng / IEng or working towards
15. MIFIREE or working towards
16. Ideally 7+ years’ experience in fire engineering
17. Extensive experience in delivering fire-engineered solutions for UK based projects
18. Familiar with active passive and active fire protection systems
19. Strong understanding of UK legislation/regulations and design guidance (will also consider applicants from New Zealand or Australia with similar regulations)
20. Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, working to tight deadlines
21. UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.
