About the role:
To act as an ambassador for Cultural Services with particular reference to Health and Wellbeing. To work with colleagues across Cultural Services and partner organisations in the delivery and development of engagement activities and programmes, creatively engaging customers with a range of digital and physical resources in ways that encourage a love of history, culture, reading, knowledge, and lifelong learning. To work collaboratively with colleagues across Cultural Services and to assist in providing an integrated approach to service improvements and developments.
About you:
• Experience of creating and developing learning and engagement packages and programmes, in person and digitally
• Ability to create and maintain effective links with partner organisations, including networking with other agencies and departments
• Educated or A -level standard, or equivalent relevant experience
• Collaborative with strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team
What you will do:
• Support Cultural Services staff in developing and creating inclusive and stimulating engagement programmes that help shape the visitor experience with high quality activities, bringing new and diverse visitors to museums, libraries and archives
• Develop and deliver content for the service's social media, digital platforms and other promotional resources
• To train and support Cultural Services staff to have the knowledge and skills to deliver high quality and engagement programmes
• Support Cultural Services managers better understand and respond to the aspirations of under-represented groups in Powys and help address cultural diversity and equality, by undertaking consultation and similar engagement activities
