An exciting opportunity has arisen within the SDS Review Team in Adult and Older People's Services. We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic permanent part-time Social Worker. The SDS Review Team are a specialist team, reviewing SDS packages for both supported people and carers, to achieve best personal outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with a variety of partners, including supported people, their families and unpaid carers, as well as care providers and commissioned services. The ability to provide professional advice and guidance to individuals, families and groups within the community is a crucial component of the role. The successful candidate will require to have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to complete all formal, informal reports and case notes which need to be of a high standard. Previous experience working within statutory roles within locality social work would be beneficial. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds and be able to gain their trust, in order to help them get the best from our services. They will be able to deal with a variety of situations where tact, patience and understanding will be needed, along with the ability to assess and cope with these situations in a sensitive and non-judgmental way.
