Job Opportunity
There is an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Qualified Social Worker to join the Broxtowe Ageing Well Team.
The Broxtowe Ageing Well Team is a friendly and supportive team of professionals who are passionate about social work and delivering positive outcomes for the people of Broxtowe. You’ll be based at Middle Street Resource Centre, where there is free parking, a café on site, and an abundance of local amenities, restaurants, and local shops in the vibrant centre of Beeston. We will provide a supportive and in-depth induction program, regular supervision, and training, as well as mobile working technology. We also offer a healthy approach to hybrid working and support flexibility and a healthy commitment to work-life balance.
About You:
A qualified and registered Social Worker who is enthusiastic, well-organised, and highly motivated in your commitment to supporting people (their informal carers and wider families) to live independent, autonomous, and fulfilling lives within their own homes and communities.
You will understand and demonstrate in your practice the principles of person-centred care and strengths-based approaches, and be committed to working in collaboration with external partners such as NHS, Community Health Services, Housing, and Third Sector organisations to support people and carers.
You will have a good knowledge and understanding/experience of undertaking Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity & Best Interests Assessments, as well as leading on Safeguarding Enquiries, and be aware of the barriers and issues facing older adults living independently and the range of interventions available to sustain and support them.
