Role Overview:
As an Apprenticeship Skills Coach, you'll be the main point of contact for apprentices, offering effective coaching and guidance to ensure they achieve their apprenticeship outcomes. You'll build strong relationships, motivate learners, and help them apply their knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the workplace. Your role is pivotal in monitoring, assessing, and providing feedback to ensure apprentices stay on track and succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support apprentices in achieving their apprenticeship outcomes by applying their knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the workplace.
* Coach apprentices in collecting evidence, preparing reflective statements, and collating evidence in their portfolios.
* Conduct regular reviews with apprentices and their line managers to ensure progress and set targets.
* Maintain monthly contact with all learners to monitor and drive timely progress.
* Collaborate with the Functional Skills Team to support learners requiring additional help in maths and English.
* Deliver coaching sessions face-to-face or online, providing clear and constructive feedback.
* Use the e-portfolio system (Aptem) to record, plan, and track individual learner progress.
* Prepare learners for their End Point Assessment, ensuring timely completion without going out of funding (OOF).
* Conduct eligibility reviews with potential candidates, ensuring their suitability for the program.
* Promote safeguarding, Prevent, British Values, and support discussions on hot topics.
* Ensure personal health, safety, and wellbeing of staff and students, promoting equality and supporting diversity and inclusion.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of customer relationship management tools and techniques.
* Understanding of Cloud services, secure coding principles, and computer systems architecture.
* Sales techniques, including negotiating, handling objections, and closing sales.
* Financial principles for sales, including profit and loss, ROI, and budgeting.
* Coaching, people management, planning, and networking skills.
* IT literacy and excellent organisational and time management abilities.
* Ability to manage own workload and diary, work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication.

Experience and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in sales within the IT sector.
* Level 3, 4, or equivalent in Education & Training (or willingness to work towards this).
* GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English (or willingness to complete Functional Skills Level 2).
* Preferred but not essential: Assessors Qualification and IQA Qualification
* Preferred but not essential: Previous experience as a Skills Coach or in a similar educational role.
