About the role
The Planning and Performance Manager will support the No7 Beauty Company Lead Team and Transformation Programme Office deliver the company’s longer term strategic goals through running a structured disciplined governance framework that builds a portfolio pipeline, enables the progression of ideas, and supports the delivery of projects alongside business-as-usual performance.
* Senior Leadership Team – Support & Governance - In accordance with the annual business planning calendar and governance framework, the Portfolio & Planning Manager will work with the senior lead team to manage the agenda and all associated documentation for the executive governance meetings.
* Tracking and Reporting - Is the central hub for consolidating reports across the Portfolio of Strategic Change initiatives and Transformation Programmes, providing executive summary of progress made, and performance of all initiatives. The Portfolio & Planning Manager will ensure consistency of reporting, and work with the senior leadership team on quality assurance and improving the reporting style and content.
* Portfolio Pipeline Plan - Support the business build a pipeline plan of ideas and validate the feasibility of these against the company strategic goals.
* Best Practice - Will maintain the best practice library of tools and templates that support the delivery of the portfolio, ensuring these are well utilized and tailored when appropriate across the teams.
* Improve Business Leaders Project Management Skills - The Portfolio & Planning Manager will provide coaching and support to the wider business on usage of the best practice toolkit and work with the Transformation Manager to improve general project management skills across the teams.
* Information management - The Portfolio & Planning Manager will be responsible for the management of the information and all key documentation relating to the business portfolio, ensuring correct storage and access are provided.
What you’ll need to have
* Portfolio Management experience (min 1-2 years) and relevant qualification e.g MOP practitioner or P3MO.
* Programme or project management experience (min 3 years) having completed MSP, Prince2 Practitioner level or similar (e.g. APM Project Manager)
* Curious and Inquisitive in nature, with the ability to confidently challenge and provide assurance to portfolio management and reporting.
* Attention to detail and ability to hold yourself and others accountable for high-quality, timely, and effective results.
* Disciplined to self-organize and galvanize others to be more forward focused and planful.
* Manages a clear governance calendar that supports effective management of key senior stakeholders and governance forums across the wider WBA business.
* Drives simplicity and efficiency into ways of working for the exec teams across No7 Beauty company and wider business.
* Is proactive at supporting colleagues adopt best practice and continuously refine and improve the toolkit. Dedicated to improving the capabilities of the business as a whole to achieve its strategic goals.
* Ability to balance competing demands and satisfy conflicting needs.
