Chester Race Company Ltd is offering an excellent casual opportunity for a Kitchen Stores Assistant to assist the Horseradish team for the race season.
The Kitchen Stores Assistant will play a pivotal role in helping manage the food deliveries and kitchen stock prior and during a race day.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Take in the food deliveries, check all the food delivered is correct and the quality is of a high standard
2. Split the delivery onto the areas it is needed on the racecourse and drop it off. We do have electric buggies to facilitate this
3. Top kitchens up with stored during the day when necessary
4. Fridge, freezer & dry stores management, stock rotation, date checks & keep them all tidy.
5. Support with stock takes
6. Food distribution on a race day, topping up the kitchens when needed
7. Collecting in HACCP records
8. Invoice inputting
9. Help monitor food prices
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Previous experience working within a kitchen environment
2. Excellent organisation and communication skills
3. Able to act on instructions quickly
4. Competent with data inputting, using word and spreadsheets
5. Driving licence essential
Contract: Casual contract, aiming to start in March 2025, working through the race season until September 2025
Hourly Rate: £14.29 per hour including holiday pay
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 8am - 4pm
Race days 7am - 5:30pm (a fixture list is available online)
This role is based in Chester and therefore a reliable commute to Chester city centre is essential.
