Due to continued growth, we are now seeking to recruit an Electromechanical Fitter to supplement our team at the Sheffield Business.
As a multi-disciplined service provider, we support local industry and infrastructure from our facility in Sheffield with a range of unique rotating machine services; with specialist support available for the Oil and Gas, Marine Steel, Water and Renewables markets.
Key Responsibilities & Accountability
1. Inspect and disassemble rotating machines including electric motors, gearboxes, and pumps, accurately assess and observe damage and wear on AC/DC electric motors and other machines, carry out basic electrical testing to establish machine condition.
2. Utilise milling machines, grinders, lathes, and boring machinery to machine and reverse engineer mechanical parts for motors and generators.
3. Perform metal spraying, balancing, and complex turning.
4. Submit daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time.
Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes
1. Hold a qualification in Mechanical Engineering either C&G or NVQ equivalent.
2. Previous experience within an Electro Mechanical environment.
3. Experience of rotating equipment as well as root cause analyses and measuring.
4. Be able to travel for short durations as and when required for specific site work.
5. Use industry equipment correctly and safely during the repair process.
6. Must be methodical and accurate.
7. Work independently as well as part of a team.
